Without adequate funding, organizations can not achieve their missions. Creating viable funding models, however, remains enormously challenging. Independent research and objective information are important in helping leaders determine the best course of action. “Conventional wisdom” often advocates pursuing grants or loans to bridge short term financial needs. Conventional wisdom can be dangerous though, often incomplete and at times be flat-out wrong, grant chasing or borrowing to meet operating costs can be disasterous for organizations. Premier advocates a thoughtfully researched approach to fund development. Revenue enhancement takes time and is rarely solved by a "quick fix" type solution.
